Roda Amaria Receives UT MD Anderson Faculty Achievement Award in Clinical Research

Roda Amaria, Professor of Melanoma Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:

“Honored to receive the UT MD Anderson’s Faculty Achievement Award in Clinical Research.

Clinical research is not a solo endeavor, and I am truly indebted to my colleagues for their support of my trials, our APP team for their partnership in patient care, and our amazing clinical research team consisting of study managers, data coordinators, regulatory and financial analysts.

Most importantly, I am truly indebted to our patients who unflinchingly trust us with their lives. Clinical research is often so depersonalized as data is aggregated and represented in charts, waterfall plots, and Kaplan-Meier curves. What is truly meaningful is the stories of the individuals who make up those charts and curves…their bravery is what gets me out of bed each morning.”Roda Amaria

Hussein Tawbi, Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, added:

“Fitting recognition for one of the best clinical researchers to grace the field!… amazing doctor and wonderful colleague and friend, wholehearted congratulations, Roda Amaria!
