Rachel Gogal Badillo, Associate Vice President of Academics, Research and Innovation Districts Communications and Advocate Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Exciting news for the New Year! After nearly six incredible years serving as Director of Executive Communications for Eugene A. Woods, CEO of Advocate Health, I’m honored to share that a few months ago, I stepped into a new role as Associate Vice President of Communications for Advocate Health’s academics, research and innovation districts.
This new chapter comes at a pivotal moment for our health system as we shape a national academic innovation model, with Wake Forest University School of Medicine as our academic core and our innovation districts – The Pearl CLT in Charlotte and Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem – as catalysts for cross-discipline collaboration, industry breakthroughs, and economic progress.
In this expanded role, I’ll lead our external communications strategy, promoting the brand and reputation of Advocate Health and amplifying stories that sit at the crossroads of academic excellence, world-leading research, corporate innovation, clinical translation, industry partnership, entrepreneurial activity, and community engagement.
Of course, I won’t be doing it alone – I am beyond blessed to have an all-star team to work alongside every day, including Myra Wright, Andrew Smith, Kate Thayer, Eric Wildstein, Nina Mastandrea, and Elizabeth Israel. And, good news, we are growing!
Check out our newest director-level role leading communications – and providing brand strategy support – for our innovation districts ecosystem. Reach out if you have any questions about the position or know of anyone you would recommend!
