Leadership Recognized: Professorships in Pediatric Oncology – Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Kimberly Stegmaier, MD, has been appointed to the David G. Nathan Professorship in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Concurrently, Scott Armstrong, MD, PhD, has been appointed as the David G. Nathan Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics.
Additionally, Armstrong has been appointed to the Ted Williams Chair at Dana-Farber, a position previously held by Stegmaier since 2016, and endowed in 1995.
The David G. Nathan Professorship in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School was established to honor our President Emeritus, David G. Nathan, MD. The professorship was created with the intention that it be held by Dana-Farber’s Chair of Pediatric Oncology.
The Ted Williams Chair, established by a group of donors known as the .406 Club, was created to support pediatric oncology and recognize Williams’ special connection to The Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber during his lifetime.
The appointments of Stegmaier and Armstrong to these endowed positions reflect their exceptional expertise, leadership, and dedication to advancing pediatric oncology. Please join us in congratulating them on these well-deserved honors.”
