NCI Center for Cancer Research shared on LinkedIn:
“We’re pleased to share that Senthil K. Muthuswamy, Ph.D., has assumed the role of director of the National Cancer Institute’s Center for Cancer Research (CCR), effective July 27, 2026.
Dr. Muthuswamy previously served as chief of CCR’s Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics. His research has advanced the development and use of three-dimensional organoid culture and co-culture methods for mechanistic, translational, and co-clinical studies, and helped define the role of cell polarity proteins in cancer biology and therapy resistance.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Muthuswamy to this new role.
We also thank James Gulley, M.D., Ph.D., and Carol Thiele, Ph.D., for their leadership as acting CCR co-directors during the transition.”
