$2.3 million R37 grant from NCI for a Hodgkin Lymphoma study
Raymond Mailhot, Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m excited to announce that I was awarded a $2.3 million R37 grant from the National Cancer Institute alongside mPI Erin Mobley for the project entitled ‘Determining Barriers Leading to Inferior Survival for Black and Hispanic Patients with Hodgkin Lymphoma: A Patient-Centered Study.’
This is my first R-level award and an important milestone as it establishes me as an independent investigator traditionally.
We submitted the proposal as an R01, and we are ecstatic that the proposal was selected for the NCI MERIT award (allowing a possible 7 years of support compared to 5 for an R01). Dr. Mobley and I could not have done this without our stellar team of co-investigators: Carla Fisher, Yi Guo, Famia, Sharon M Castellino, Alexander Parker, and Amy Crisp.
More info to follow!”
