Miruna Sasu, US Chief Data Officer at Novartis, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Novartis as US Chief Data Officer!
I’ve always believed that data is the quiet force behind every medical breakthrough.
When it’s accurate and truly understood, it helps us see patterns that spark discovery.
It guides clinical development and it supports better access and outcomes for patients.
My first role in pharma was at Bristol Myers Squibb, where I was introduced to real-world data, and I continued that work at Johnson and Johnson helping make clinical trials more efficient.
Eventually, I felt called to focus fully on oncology which brought me to COTA. There, we built high-quality datasets for some of the hardest-to-study cancers and helped researchers answer questions traditional data could not alongside the most incredible group of dedicated people and couldn’t be more grateful for each one of them.
At Novartis US, I’m eager to help build a global data ecosystem that scientists can trust, that R&D teams can rely on with confidence, and one that helps bring new medicines to patients faster without compromising safety.
This work is both deeply technical and profoundly human and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish for the patients who need us most.”
