“Congratulations to Dr Rille Pihlak, new Clinical Lead of The Estonian Cancer Network, on her brilliant talk at ESMO2025!
She presented the results of a large survey (71 countries!) on psychological training in oncology education on behalf of the Education Task Force of the Lancet Oncology Committee! She beautifully highlighted the need to better prepare trainees in delivering psychological care to patients!
The work has been awarded an ESMO Merit Award, and the whole report is due to be published next month!
And this rising star is also one of my closest friends.
