Hesham ElGhazaly, Elected President of the Executive Board at Egyptian Cancer Society, Professor of Clinical Oncology at Ain Shams University and the Founder and CEO of Alfa Cure Oncology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Words cannot express how honored and excited I am to be announced as a member of the ABC Global Alliance Board of Directors, representing LMICs during the ABC8 Conference in Lisbon, Portugal (6-8 November 2025) – one of the most renowned and highly anticipated gatherings of breast cancer experts and advocates worldwide.
On the 7th November I had the pleasure to chair the session ‘Accessibility and Affordability: Has the Gap Widened?’, reflecting on key insights from the Global Decade of ABC Reports (2015-2025) and exploring how AI, telemedicine, and policy reform can bridge disparities, and ensure patients have affordable access to the latest treatments.
At the end i was privileged to take part in the 8th ABC Consensus, contributing to the global guidelines that define and guide the management of advanced breast cancer – a reference point for clinicians and patients around the world.
A heartfelt and special thank you to the amazing Prof. Fatima Cardoso for her remarkable leadership, tireless efforts in research, and her deep commitment to advancing patient care. Her wisdom, hospitality, and vision continue to inspire all of us in this global community and warm congratulations to the ABC Global Alliance celebrating 10 years of advancing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and transforming the landscape of advanced breast cancer care worldwide.
Grateful for this opportunity to serve, represent, and contribute to advancing equity in cancer care worldwide.”
