Fagr Aboumadawy: Filled With Gratitude and Reflection as My Fellowship at IEO Concludes

Fagr Aboumadawy, Medical Oncology Specialist and Assistant Lecturer of Medical Oncology at Medical Research Institute – Alexandria University, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“As my fellowship at IEO (European Institute of Oncology) approaches its end, I am filled with gratitude and reflection.

During my time here, I had the privilege to learn from and work alongside some of the most inspiring individuals I’ve ever met. I interacted with brilliant minds, connected with international fellows, and made lifelong friends in oncology who pushed me to think deeper, aim higher, and stay curious.

A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Giuseppe Curigliano for his mentorship, support, kindness, and for the example he sets every single day. His words will stay with me forever, and his vision showed me what it means to lead with purpose. An inspiring oncologist who helps others rise.

And to Dario Trapani, thank you for being a guru, a warm presence, a friend, a source of calm, and a role model I look up to. Your guidance has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey.

I am very grateful to Affy Degbé and The ICF, who have been there for me every step of the way, and to Emanuela Colautti for always being there to guide and help.

I leave IEO with new skills, new insights, and a renewed passion for oncology, but most importantly, with a community that I will always carry with me.

Here’s to growth, to mentorship, and to one of the most rewarding chapters of my career.”
