The European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) has announced its newly elected Council members for the 2026–2030 term, marking a new chapter for one of Europe’s leading professional societies in women’s cancer care.
More than a leadership update, this election reflects the continued growth of ESGO’s role in shaping education, research, quality standards, and multidisciplinary care in gynaecological oncology. At a time when the field is moving quickly across surgery, systemic treatment, prevention, and translational science, the Council helps guide how that progress is translated into practice.
Founded in 1983, ESGO has built a strong international network of specialists, researchers, advocacy groups, and centres of excellence focused on improving outcomes for women with gynaecological cancers. Its mission remains centered on advancing care through research, education, prevention, and professional collaboration.
The newly elected members will now join ESGO’s broader leadership in helping define the society’s priorities for the years ahead. Their work will contribute to important areas such as guideline development, training, accreditation, research support, and efforts to reduce disparities in cancer care across Europe and beyond.
