Eric Singhi Received Emerging Leader Alumni Award from MUSC College of Medicine
Eric Singhi recently received the Emerging Leader Alumni Award from the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Eric Singhi, MD, is an Assistant Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he specializes in thoracic malignancies, with a particular focus on lung cancer.
He is deeply committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to his patients while advancing clinical research in the field.
His areas of research include patient-reported outcomes, young-onset lung cancer, patient education, and community outreach.
Dr. Singhi’s dedication to improving patient care extends to his role as the Patient Safety and Quality Officer for Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology, where he works to enhance safety protocols and quality initiatives within the department.
Before transitioning into his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Singhi served as Chief Hematology/Oncology Fellow at MD Anderson, further honing his expertise in cancer care.
He completed his Hematology/Oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he also served as a fellow physician for three years.
Prior to that, Dr. Singhi completed his Internal Medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, after which he joined the institution as an intern.
Dr. Singhi received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Duke University.
His work and research are fueled by a strong passion for improving clinical outcomes and patient quality of life, particularly for those facing the challenges of thoracic cancers.
Dr. Singhi is also an advocate for patient education, striving to empower patients with the information they need to make informed decisions about their health.
