Eric Edison Gardner Received the 2025 Young Investigator Award – IASLC

“Congrats to Dr. Eric Edison Gardner, Postdoctoral Fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine! One of our 2025 Young Investigator Awardees!
Their project, Neuroendocrine secreted pleiotrophin as an effector of small cell transformation, explores whether the secreted protein pleiotrophin helps small cell lung cancer (SCLC) evade the immune system during early development.
Since SCLC arises from rare neuroendocrine cells, understanding pleiotrophin’s role could uncover new therapeutic targets.
