“We are delighted to welcome Ambassador Dag Hartelius to the Elekta Foundation’s Advisory Board!
Ambassador Hartelius brings decades of distinguished diplomatic experience and international leadership. He most recently served as Sweden’s State Secretary for Foreign Affairs (2024–2026). Previously, he served as Sweden’s Permanent Representative to the European Union and as Ambassador to Poland, Hungary, Estonia, and Slovenia.
His extensive experience in international relations, diplomacy, and government affairs will bring valuable perspectives as we prepare to expand our cancer care programs, particularly screening and prevention, into more underserved countries.
We look forward to his insights and guidance as we build on Sweden’s and the EU’s strong tradition of international cooperation, forge new partnerships across Africa, Asia, and beyond, and advance our mission of making cancer care more accessible to those who need it most.
