David Gosky: Honored to Join Fox Chase Cancer Center as Vice President of Cancer Research Operations

David Gosky, Vice President of Cancer Research Operations at Fox Chase Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:

“When I left Ohio the first time for a job in cancer center administration, as my car drove headed west across the Texas border, the song that came on the radio was ‘Land of Hope and Dreams’ by Bruce Springsteen.

Driving to my first day at work at the Markey Cancer Center, another Bruce song, ‘Working on a Dream’ came on the radio.

On Saturday morning as I drove to Philadelphia, a song that Bruce covered, played on the radio as I turned onto I70 and headed east, ‘Dream Baby Dream.’ This time, though, as Bruce introduced the song he said, ‘this is for Dave’. You can’t make this stuff up!

Today I start as the Vice President of Cancer Research Operations, a newly created role working directly with Drs. Robert Winn and Robert Uzzo at Fox Chase Cancer Center. I am so exited to work with them and the other senior leadership at Fox Chase and Temple Health to drive discovery and delivery in cancer research, care and community outreach.

This opportunity would not have happened without the support of so many of you – family, friends and colleagues across the country and the world. Thank you for your love and encouragement. Thank you to my colleagues at Ohio State, where we truly did amazing, or as some peers would say, exceptional work. And I couldn’t only post Bruce songs, so as Taylor Swift sang ‘Thank you, Aimee’.

Go Birds!”
