Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH shared on LinkedIn:

“Today marks an important milestone for Daiichi Sankyo Europe.

Effective April 1, 2027, Markus A. Kosch has been appointed Head of Europe Business within Daiichi Sankyo’s new global Commercialization Unit and will also serve as General Manager of Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH.

In his new role, Markus will bring together Daiichi Sankyo Europe’s Oncology and Specialty businesses under one integrated leadership structure for the first time, leading the company’s entire European business. Before that, Markus has led Daiichi Sankyo’s Oncology Business Division in Europe and Canada since 2021, overseeing a period of significant growth while preparing the organization for an increasingly diverse oncology portfolio.

This appointment reflects the next phase of our global Five-Year Business Plan and our continued commitment to strengthening our European business while advancing our ambition to become a top global oncology company.

As our portfolio continues to evolve, bringing our businesses together will help us deliver innovative medicines to more patients across Europe, faster and more effectively.

Please join us in congratulating Markus on his new role.”

Markus Kosch, Head Oncology Europe and Canada at Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH, shared a post by Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH, adding:

“Today marks an important step for our European business—and for me personally.

I am humbled by the trust placed in me and very much look forward to taking on this new responsibility in April 2027 and working with colleagues across our Oncology and Specialty businesses.

Bringing both businesses together under one leadership structure is, in my view, a valuable opportunity to build on the strengths of each, learn from one another, and create something even stronger together.

As our portfolio continues to evolve, success will depend not only on our structure but also on how we work together every day. My role is to create the right conditions for all colleagues to succeed and to make a meaningful difference for patients.

And I am excited to help make that happen.”
