“Our Institute Postgraduate Education Team would like to congratulate Dr. Muhammad Haris on achieving a Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) as he leaves his role as Resident Doctor Education and Development Lead to begin a MD in Translational Neuro-Oncology with the University of Manchester and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Haris spoke of his educational role over the past 18 months:
Serving as the R/D Education and Development Lead has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my training. The role allowed me to contribute to education beyond my clinical practice, supporting colleagues in developing their knowledge, confidence and engagement with lifelong learning across the Trust. Working closely with the Christie Institute for Cancer Education (CICE), I helped promote educational opportunities, support teaching initiatives and encourage participation in professional development. It has been a privilege to contribute to a culture that values education as a key part of delivering high-quality patient care.
The role has also been invaluable for my own development. During my time as R/D Education and Development Lead, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, further developing my skills as a clinical educator. The encouragement and support from CICE played an important role in achieving this milestone and strengthened my commitment to medical education. I would like to thank Dr Radhakrishna Sharon and the entire CICE team for their mentorship, encouragement and support throughout my time in the role. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities CICE has provided and will carry these experiences forward throughout my career.”
