Brendan B.: Excited to Start a New Position as Philanthropy Assistant, Major Gifts at DFCI

Brendan B., Philanthropy Assistant, Major Gifts at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I am incredibly excited and grateful to share that I will be starting a new position as Philanthropy Assistant, Major Gifts, at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, starting on this upcoming Boston Marathon Monday (Go Team DFMC Runners!).

It has always been both a personal and professional dream to work to raise funds for the place where my brother Patrick received his cancer treatment and where I’ve gotten to meet wonderful people who share that mentality of wanting to reach that ultimate finish line of a world without cancer. From being a visitor when Pat went up to the seventh-floor infusion wing to running as part of past DFMC teams to now saying I will be working at DFCI, it’s so much more than a ‘pinch me’ kind of moment.

I wouldn’t have gotten here without the support of so many, from family to friends to colleagues. It’s always a team effort, and I’m fortunate and thankful for those who are a part of my team, starting with the person watching from above and smiling down in Pat. We did it, brother. PHDW.”
