Benny Johnson: Excited to Join Bristol Myers Squibb as Executive Director, Late-Stage Oncology for GI Cancers

Benny Johnson, Executive Director, Clinical Team Leader, Late-Stage Oncology – Gastrointestinal Cancers at Bristol Myers Squibb, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Today, I’m thankful to begin a new chapter as Executive Director, Clinical Team Leader, Late-Stage Oncology – Gastrointestinal Cancers at Bristol Myers Squibb!

Throughout my career, from caring for patients in clinic and engaging in clinical research at MD Anderson, to working in biotech, I’ve been guided by a simple belief: the best science matters most when it changes what is possible for our patients.

I’m truly grateful for my time at Agenus and for the colleagues, investigators, and patients who contributed to the work we pursued together. I’m proud of what we accomplished and wish the team continued success in advancing that work for patients.

I’m honored to now join Bristol Myers Squibb and contribute to an organization with a long history of transforming cancer care. I look forward to working alongside outstanding colleagues to advance meaningful science, ask the difficult questions, and help develop novel cancer therapeutics that can improve and extend the lives of patients with cancer. Thank you Dimitrios Z. for the opportunity to join the late stage team and I’m excited to get started!

I’m especially grateful to the patients, families, mentors, colleagues, friends, and my family who have shaped and supported me throughout this journey. There is still so much work to do in GI oncology, and I’m excited for what lies ahead.

New chapter. Same purpose: translating innovative science into better outcomes for patients.”
