The Lustgarten Foundation has announced the 2026 recipients of the Dr. Robert F. Vizza Lustgarten Clinical Accelerator Initiative, which supports smarter, science-driven clinical trials designed to move promising research into the clinic faster.
This year’s recipients are:
- Ashwin Somasundaram, MD, of the The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill;
- Harshabad Singh, MBBS, MD, of Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute;
- Mark O’Hara, MD, of the University of Pennsylvania;
- Anirban Maitra, MD, of NYU Langone Health Perlmutter Cancer Center.
Their studies will explore targeted treatment, immunotherapy, biomarker-guided care, and a first-of-its-kind approach to intercept pancreatic cancer before it develops.”
