Alyssa Gonzalez: Honored to be a Recipient of the Young Investigator Award for the 2026 MASCC Conference

Alyssa Gonzalez, Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared MASCC’s post on LinkedIn, adding:

“I am incredibly honored to be a recipient of the Young Investigator Award for the 2026 Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer conference.

I could not have achieved what I have in my research and early career without the support of my incredible research mentors Dr. Sriram Yennu and Dr. Eduardo Bruera. Words cannot express how immensely grateful I am to have a team of mentors behind me, supporting my growth and development.

I could not do what I do without them!”

Quoting The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC)’s post:

“Congratulations to Dr. Alyssa Gonzalez, recipient of a 2026 Young Investigator Award. These awards are presented to the first authors of the top abstracts submitted to MASCC26 by junior investigators (defined as no more than seven years’ post-training).

Dr. Gonzalez’s abstract is titled ‘A Meta-Analysis Evaluating Pharmacological, Non-pharmacological, and Psychological Interventions to Treat Insomnia in Patients With Cancer.'”
