NCI Center for Cancer Research congratulates postdoctoral fellows for recently receiving awards and grants for their research efforts

“POSTDOC SPOTLIGHT: Congratulations to several of our postdoctoral fellows for recently receiving awards and grants for their research efforts here at the National Cancer Institute (NCI)!

Dr. Benmebarek of our Thoracic and GI Malignancies Branch received an award from the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation for his work, ‘Anti-VEGF treatment amplifies immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced immune responses by targeting B and regulatory T cells.’

Dr. Kleinpeter of our HIV Dynamics and Replication Program received The Andy Kaplan prize for his work, ‘Elucidating the role of IP6 in HIV-1 assembly, maturation, and post-entry events.’

Dr. Wilkinson of our Genitourinary Malignancies Branch received a K22 NCI Transition Career Development Award, which will help him transition to an independent academic faculty position.”
