Jessica Clerc: I am thrilled to share that I have taken on a new role as Partnership Manager at the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)
Exciting News! I am thrilled to share that I have taken on a new role as Partnership Manager at the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).
UICC, the largest global membership organization dedicated to combating cancer, has been at the forefront of the fight against this disease since 1933. Based in Geneva, UICC boasts over 1,200 member organizations spanning 172 countries and territories. The organization’s mission is clear to unite and support the global cancer community in its mission to alleviate the burden of cancer, champion equity and ensure that cancer control remains a priority on the global health and development agenda.
With consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO), and key partnerships with influential entities like the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), UICC is undeniably a driving force in the field of cancer control. It’s an honor to be part of an organization that places partnerships and collective impact at the core of its strategy.
As a member of the Partnership Development team,I’m excited to contribute to UICC’s efforts to nurture and engage its partnership base, as well as execute a resource mobilization strategy that empowers UICC’s activities and programs. Over the years, UICC has established a vibrant network of memberships and partnerships, with collaborations spanning the globe and impacting the Cancer control agenda.
In my role, I’Il be focusing on diversifying funding sources engaging with new partners who share UICC’s vision, and strengthening existing partnerships to further advance global cancer control. Together, we’re poised to make a meaningful impact on the fight against cancer and the pursuit of a healthier world for all.
Stay tuned for updates as I embark on this incredible journey with UICC. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to share the progress we’ll achieve together!
