Abha Agrawal: I am humbled and excited to share that I joined Lawrence General Hospital in MA as its President and CEO
Abha Agrawal, President and CEO of Lawrence General Hospital, announced on LinkedIn:
“I am humbled and excited to share that I have started a new chapter in my professional journey. I joined Lawrence General Hospital (LGH) in MA as its President and CEO.
LGH is a legendary institution, established in 1875, and I look forward to celebrating our 150th anniversary soon.
The organization consists of a 186-bed acute care hospital and additional 13 locations including clinics, diagnostic centers, and rehab centers. The hospital is a major regional provider for the Merrimack Valley region and has 40% of the regional inpatient market share.
We also pride on operating one of the busiest ERs in the state of MA (varies from 3rd to 5th busiest in the state).
I am learning about the significant challenges being faced by the hospital, like most hospitals in the country, but also extraordinary opportunities to make an impact on the community of Lawrence and greater Merrimack Valley.
One really heart-warning thing I learned today: we participate in and support the Bread and Roses program in the community – an extraordinary program that was established to keep alive and honor the memory of the great Lawrence textile workers’ strike of 1912, known as the ‘Bread and Roses Strike’!
Stuff and stories like this make it all worthwhile. More stories from MA to follow soon.
