Matt Galsky Honored with Endowed Professorship at Tisch Cancer Institute
Matt Galsky was recently named the Lillian and Howard Stratton Professor of Medicine at the Tisch Cancer Institute in recognition of his contributions to the field.
Matt Galsky, MD, is a medical oncologist and leader in cancer research with extensive experience in both clinical and translational oncology.
He currently serves as the Co-Leader of the Cancer Clinical Investigation Program and Associate Director of Translational Research at the Tisch Cancer Institute, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, roles he’s held since 2021.
In addition, he’s a Professor of Medicine, focusing on advancing research and clinical care in cancer treatment.
Dr. Galsky has been with Mount Sinai for over 14 years, where he has also served as the Director of Genitourinary Medical Oncology since 2010.
His work in this field, particularly in developing innovative treatments for genitourinary cancers, has earned him a reputation as a leader in his area of expertise.
Before joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Galsky completed his fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, working in their Genitourinary Oncology Service. He also co-founded Dual Therapeutics, a company dedicated to advancing cancer therapies, which he was involved in from 2013 to 2018.
With over two decades of experience in oncology, Dr. Galsky is deeply committed to advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes, shaping the future of the field through both his clinical and research contributions.
