Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: Encouraging to see young girls ask questions to help them understand cancer better
Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, UICC President-Elect of 2024-2026, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In January, the first Medicaid Cancer Foundation, outreach of 2025 took us to STEM Child Care Academy, Abuja, where we held honest, engaging conversations with young girls and their teachers about cervical cancer awareness, lifestyle choices like diet, HPV education, and the importance of the HPV vaccine.
It was encouraging to see the young girls ask questions to help them understand cancer better.
My team and I are committed to building a future where no woman has to suffer from cervical cancer. It starts with awareness, prevention, and then action – one step at a time.”
