“We are deeply honored to have been invited by the Kano State Government to the Kano Cancer Week, an initiative to raise awareness and improve access to cancer prevention and screening services.
The Medicaid Cancer Foundation team was fully involved – supporting the cancer walk, sensitization workshop, and free breast and cervical cancer screenings for over 880 women across Kano’s 44 local government areas. Programs like this are crucial in tackling the rising burden of cancer, especially in underserved communities.
A huge thank you to the Kano State Government, the office of the SSA on Education, and all partners for championing this important cause. I look forward to a productive partnership that will bring us closer to reducing the cancer burden in our communities.”
