Andrea Manzano is a health economist whose primary area of research is the economic burden of cancer, with a particular focus on its wide-ranging social impact beyond healthcare expenditures.

She is currently a cancer policy researcher at The Swedish Institute for Health Economics. Andrea has co-authored reports on the economic burden of cancer in Europe and the Middle East, as well as a series of publications focused on women’s cancers. Some of her work explores disparities in access to care for breast and endometrial cancer patients across socio-economic and ethnic groups.
