Yelak Biru, MSc, is the President and Chief Executive Officer at International Myeloma Foundation as well as a member of the IMF Board of Directors since 2015. Mr. Biru is the Advisor to the NCI Director at the NCI Council of Research Advocates (NCRA).
IMF CEO’s journey began when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma at the age of 25 while a student at the University of North Texas, after which he joined his local myeloma patient support groups, which eventually were led by him in Texas, then Arkansas.
