WHO Takes a Creative Leap in Raising Awareness for Colorectal Cancer
WHO Regional Office for Europe has taken a bold and creative step in drawing attention to colorectal cancer during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, using humor and relatability to reach a wider audience.
Their recent Instagram post featured an adorable corgi, with its back facing the camera, sending a playful yet powerful message about the importance of screening and awareness for colorectal cancer.
By using a visual that grabs attention and sparks conversation, WHO is making a serious point with a lighthearted approach: colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers.
This innovative tactic shows the power of creativity in spreading awareness and challenging the stigma around cancer-related conversations.
Earlier this March, Digestive Cancers Europe started another none standard #ECCAM25 campaign, using the peach (🍑) as a symbol to raise awareness about colorectal cancer (CRC). The peach is more than just a fun image—it represents the areas affected by the disease and emphasizes the need for prevention, screening, and early detection. By using this playful symbol, Digestive Cancers Europe is making it easier to talk about colorectal cancer and encouraging people to take action and get screened.
The #ECCAM25 campaign also features real stories from colorectal cancer patients, sharing their unfiltered experiences to break the stigma around the disease. These personal stories are sparking important conversations about the risks, symptoms, and the crucial role of early screening.
