Wade Swenson, Program Manager at ACCC and Founder of Rural Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Had a front-row seat to Zachary Schroeder‘s powerful TEDxKU talk on the Geography of Survival.

He shared his journey and the patient stories that fuel the Rural Cancer Institute’s mission to address cancer disparities in rural communities.

Zack will graduate next month from The University of Kansas Medical School and then head to Wake Forest University School of Medicine to train in internal medicine, with his sights set on a career in oncology.

His passion for improving rural cancer care is a testament to the power of patient-driven advocacy.”
