Victoria Wolodzko Smart: Thrilled to announce the launch of the Alliance for Breast Cancer Policy
Victoria Wolodzko Smart, Senior Vice President of Mission for Susan G. Komen, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On behalf of Susan G. Komen, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Alliance for Breast Cancer Policy, a partnership with 25 leading organizations in breast cancer policy united to drive federal policy changes that will improve access, affordability, quality and patient outcomes for all those facing breast cancer.
Long-lasting, systemic policy change is needed now more than ever. While we have made significant strides over the last several decades, the stark reality is that more than 42,000 women and men in the U.S. are expected to die from breast cancer this year alone. Millions more are facing the devastating impact of the disease, including lasting side effects, financial ruin, professional careers derailed, and personal dreams lost. The need for patient-centered, evidence-based policy solutions to improve breast cancer care and outcomes has never been more urgent.

Our thanks to our steering committee, members and founding partners who are united in the mission to ensure that everyone can survive and thrive after breast cancer.”
