How Countries are Engaging Stakeholders in the Development and Implementation of NCCPs – Union for International Cancer Control
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“At today’s Cancer Planners Forum in Geneva, participants came together in small group discussions to explore how countries are engaging stakeholders in the development and implementation of National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs).
Around each table, delegates shared experiences—what’s working, where the gaps are, and how collaborations can be strengthened.
Key reflections included the value of technical working groups, the importance of shared ownership, and the challenge of maintaining momentum beyond the planning stage. Participants also discussed practical strategies, such as stakeholder mapping, clear accountability frameworks, and ongoing, trust-based dialogue.
Across the room, participants from Bhutan to Suriname, Qatar to Indonesia echoed a common message: active listening, commitment, and mutual recognition are essential for meaningful, long-term collaboration.”
