UICC Cancer Planners Forum continue to spark new thinking and cross-country exchange
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The conversations on Day 2 of the UICC Cancer Planners Forum continue to spark new thinking and cross-country exchange.
Participants explored the WHO Costing Tool and how it can be applied in their national contexts. Speakers from the US, Eswatini and Sri Lanka shared perspectives on building policy frameworks and mobilising resources for implementation.
‘In Eswatini, cancer planners overcame funding constraints by collaborating with international partners, implementers and civil society to integrate cancer into existing programmes like HIV, TB, EPI and school health,’ said Ms Xolisile Dlamini, Cancer Programme Manager at the Ministry of Health. ‘It shows what’s possible when there’s commitment and creativity—a reminder that where there’s a will, there’s a way.’ “
