Trijn Israels: A Picture is worth a thousand words – Tili limodzi
Trijn Israels, Paediatric Oncologist at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A picture is worth a thousand words. Many thanks to the mothers, father, grandmothers and children in the pictures below for allowing (and trusting) me to photograph them in Blantyre, Malawi.
We discussed that we were also taking these pictures to advocate for support to families, other families – to empower them to complete the treatment of their children with cancer. Appropriate consent was given. Tili limodzi.”
Trijn Israels is the Project Leader for “Zero Abandonment from Start to Finish” at CANCaRe Africa, a role she has held since January 2023. She has been the Chair of CANCaRe Africa since July 2017, focusing on collaborative efforts in childhood cancer care and research across Africa.
