Susanna F. Greer, Chief Scientific Officer at The V Foundation for Cancer Research and Leading Scientific Strategist and Cancer Researcher and Communicator, shared a post by the V Foundation on LinkedIn, adding the following:
“If you or someone you love has been touched by cancer, the V Foundation invests 100% of direct donations in research that IS SAVING LIVES. One of my favorite Jim Valvano quotes is: ‘My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person: he believed in me.’ To me, this quote also ties beautifully to Giving Tuesday: it emphasizes a belief in others and the transformative power of generosity. Every gift to the V Foundation helps fuel a belief in groundbreaking cancer research and support for the researchers who are bringing us closer, each day, to Victory Over Cancer.”

Susanna F. Greer is the Chief Scientific Officer at the V Foundation. Before this role, Dr. Greer was a Senior Scientific Director at the American Cancer Society, where she led the Biochemistry and Immunology of Cancer Research Program. Greer’s work focuses on identifying crucial signaling pathways in the immune response to cancer and has led to significant discoveries in molecular immunology and new epigenetic targets.
