The potential risks that might come along with the implementation of Medicare Maximum Fair Prices – The US Oncology Network
The US Oncology Network shared a post on LinkedIn:
“READ or LISTEN: An interesting interview with Texas Oncology‘s Debra Patt, MD PhD MBA discusses the potential risks that might come along with the implementation of Medicare Maximum Fair Prices.
These could include longer wait periods for reimbursements and lower add-on payments for providers, which would hit community oncology practices particularly hard.
The Community Oncology Alliance hopes to facilitate discussion on this topic and collaboration in dealing with any future challenges.”
Debra Patt, a practicing oncologist and breast cancer specialist in Austin, Texas, is the executive vice president of Texas Oncology. As a prominent leader in breast cancer research and healthcare informatics, she directs breast cancer research in Austin and leads multidisciplinary tumor boards for breast cancer. Dr. Patt serves as President of the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology, Secretary for the Community Oncology Alliance, and is a member of the Austin Healthcare Council and the Shivers Board. She previously served on the boards of Komen and the Breast Cancer Resource Center.
