Tatevik Margaryan: Creating a future where cancer care is a reality for all
Tatevik Margaryan, Head, Department of Non-Communicatcble Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at NCDC, Ministry of Health, Armenia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
Today, on World Cancer Day, we come together to raise awareness, inspire action, and honor the resilience of those affected by cancer.
Cancer is more than a diagnosis—it’s a global health challenge that touches every community, transcending borders, cultures, and backgrounds. Behind every statistic is a story, a family, and a fight filled with courage and hope.
This year’s theme, “Close the Care Gap,” reminds us of the urgent need to address inequalities in cancer care. Access to early detection, quality treatment, and supportive services should not be a privilege but a right for everyone, everywhere.
As healthcare professionals, advocates, and global citizens, we have the power to:
• Promote prevention through education and lifestyle changes.
• Support early detection for better outcomes.
• Advocate for equitable access to care and innovative treatments.
• Stand with patients and their families, offering compassion and hope.
Today, let’s renew our commitment to reducing the burden of cancer. Whether through research, policy change, patient advocacy, or simple acts of kindness, every effort counts.
Together, we can close the care gap and create a future where cancer care is a reality for all.
