“Today’s session, moderated by Maria “Ken” Figueroa and Mikkael A. Sekeres, offered insights into evolving classification and treatment.
Dr. Rena Buckstein discussed predictors of patient-reported outcomes, followed by Dr. Nancy Gillis on the epidemiology of CHIP, ICUS, CCUS, and MDS/N. Sangeetha Venugopal shared competing classification systems and Dr. Justin Taylor ( Taylor Lab) wrapped with insights on small molecule inhibitors in MDS/AML. Moderated by Justin Watts, Session 2 at our Miami Leukemia Symposium spotlighted emerging strategies in disease monitoring and metabolism.
Dr. Courtney Jones shared insights on targeting metabolism in AML. Chris Hourigan discussed building evidence for MRD testing, and Dr. Selina Luger closed the session with a cooperative group perspective on the Myelomatch Trial. The final session of our Miami Leukemia Symposium delivered powerful insights into the evolving care of AML.
Dr. Thomas LeBlanc highlighted the complexities of managing older adults with AML. Dr. Britta Will explored how chaperone-mediated autophagy drives therapy resistance, and Dr. Alice Mims closed with a look at the current and future landscape of frontline AML therapy.”
