Susannah Brunert: Launching Cancer Safe Spaces
Susannah Brunert, Cancer Community Programme Manager at One Vision, shared a post on LinkedIn:
We’re launching Cancer Safe Spaces!
We have some exciting news!
This month, on Wednesday 5th February, One Vision’s Cancer Champions Programme in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support is starting new in-person groups for people in Watford and the local area who are affected by cancer.
Whether someone is living with cancer, supporting a loved one, is seeking information or community resources, then our Cancer Safe Spaces are here for them.
One Vision’s Cancer Safe Spaces will be an inclusive, welcoming place for those impacted by cancer. The aim is to build connections, reduce isolation and provide social support.
There’s no need to book, you can just drop in for a warm welcome and to talk to someone who understands.
In response to the conversations we’ve been hearing in the local community, we will have one group open to anyone impacted by cancer and one group for women from the South Asian community.
Please help us spread the word of this important new initiative! If you’d like some flyers or posters, just let us know.
