“Our first outreach of the year took us to Stem Child Care Academy, Abuja, where we engaged young girls and teachers in a vital conversation about:
- Cervical Cancer Awareness – Understanding the risks and importance of early detection.
- HPV Education – The link between the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer.
- The Importance of the HPV Vaccine – How vaccination is a powerful tool for prevention.
The enthusiasm from both students and teachers was inspiring! They asked thoughtful questions, gained crucial knowledge, and many students took the proactive step of getting vaccinated.
Cervical cancer is one of the few cancers that is highly preventable – yet it remains a major health concern. Through education and access to vaccines, we can eliminate cervical cancer for future generations.
