“Staff from the International Patient Center (IPC) at Dana-Farber share a moment of joy after Laurie H. Glimcher, president and CEO, ceremoniously cut a blue ribbon to mark its official opening on Jan. 16.
The IPC, which collaborates with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, is open to all international adult oncology patients and their families as a home base during their treatment at the Institute. The IPC supports adult oncology patients throughout all steps of their treatment journey, from initial inquiry and appointment scheduling to treatment and return to their home country.
Staff also provide a personalized experience for all patients upon their arrival to the United States, including concierge, interpreter services, and assistance with lodging, transportation, and culturally relevant resource needs.”
