“Important moment today as our childhood cancer delegation met with Health Commissioner Oliver Várhelyi.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to discuss the needs of children and adolescents with cancer in Europe and be heard at such a high level.
Prof. GILLES VASSAL, Policy Lead and Board Member at SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE), Delphine Heenen, member of Childhood Cancer International – Europe Regional Committee, and Olga Kozhaeva, Public Affairs Director at SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE) were representing the childhood cancer community today at the Berlaymont offices in Brussels.
This meaningful exchange reinforces our commitment to keep childhood cancer a priority on the EU agenda, from Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and upcoming EU Budget to the broader vision of a healthier and more prosperous future for all.
