Siobhan Freeney: Women in Ireland are calling on Minister for Health to mandate Breast Density Reporting for all women
Siobhan Freeney, Patient Advocate, shared on LinkedIn:
“Supporting Breast Density Reporting for Women in Ireland
We 100% support Martha Lovett Cullen in launching this petition on International Women’s Day 2025 to advocate for mandatory Breast Density Reporting in Ireland.
Women in Ireland are calling on our Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill to mandate Breast Density Reporting for all women undergoing mammograms.
We are committed to this campaign and to raising awareness about the devastating consequences of women not being routinely informed about their breast density—a critical factor in breast cancer risk.
Let’s combine our efforts to ensure that all Irish women receiving mammograms are informed about their breast density and what it means for their breast cancer risk.“
