How Associate Professor Simon Chu is Rewriting the Story For a Rare Form of Ovarian Cancer – OCRF
Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Some cancers are so rare they go decades without new treatment options.
Associate Professor Simon Chu and his team at Hudson Institute of Medical Research are changing that.
Thanks to support from the OCRF community, his team is focusing on what causes a rare subtype of ovarian cancer tumour to grow and return. They are using advanced imaging and AI technology to identify the key factors behind tumour growth and find ways to stop it.
- They’re screening nearly 300,000 potential treatments.
- They’re identifying weak spots in cancer cells.
- They’re building a foundation for future clinical trials.
What started as community-funded research has now attracted millions in national grants. This proves your generosity doesn’t just fund research, it multiplies it.
This is breakthrough research, but it needs funding to continue.
