“I’m looking forward to presenting at COSA24 for the ‘Not one size fits all – Protecting all people in cancer care’ session Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA)
The intersection of cancer care and disability care is a complicated space for patients and clinicians alike. The experiences of disability within our thriving community are diverse, and we each have different ways that we talk about and represent ourselves as disabled, chronically ill, injured or impaired.
We must ensure not only that people with disabilities have equal access to cancer care, but that people with cancer have equal access to disability care. It goes both ways!
