“It was a successful meeting. I had a chance to meet my friend and brother, a Global Hepatitis B Advocate, Mr. Shaibu Issa.
- We had an opportunity to discuss and set plans for making an impact on reducing the cancer burden in Tanzania through advocacy, promoting awareness, screening as well as early detection.
- Through championing lifestyle changes such as weight reduction, diet modification, exercising, alcohol and tobacco cessation, etc that are protective against cancer.
- We also discussed how we can mobilize different approaches to support cancer patients in our community.
- They believe the platform of Cancer Fight Tanzania in collaboration with other stakeholders we are going to make a great difference .”
