Sendurai Mani: A Small Gesture, A Big Impact; Appreciating Those Who Care for Us
Sendurai Mani, Dean’s Chair for Translational Oncology at Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A Small Gesture, A Big Impact: Appreciating Those Who Care for Us.
Many years ago, my good friend Dr. Scott Dessain shared a simple yet powerful lesson: always appreciate the hard work of the housekeeping staff who keep the hotel rooms clean and welcoming. He mentioned that he always leaves a small tip when checking out and encouraged me to do the same. Since then, I have been trying my best to follow his advice.
I’m sharing this information today with the hope that it inspires others as well. If you already do this, thank you — and if not, I encourage you to consider it.
Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Thank you, Scott, for this important reminder.”
