“We are thrilled to share that Skip Burris, MD was recently honored for his contributions to oncology and clinical research with a newly endowed Conquer Cancer Young Investigator Award named in his honor.
Officially named the Bristol Myers Squibb Endowed Young Investigator Award for Veteran Cancer in honor of Howard A. Burris III, MD, the award is a testament to Dr. Burris’ legacy in oncology.
The inaugural recipient of the award is an inspiring investigator, Allison Taylor, MD. Dr. Burris has been deeply involved with ASCO and Conquer Cancer throughout his career, serving as the ASCO President for the 2019-2020 term, and as Chair of the Board for Conquer Cancer since 2021.
