“2024, brought unforeseeable change and almost impositional discovery. to put it simply, hematology and cancer education began to try and fill in well-known gaps in care; either from education for overextended primary care providers, or from empowered patient self-advocacy.
Then life very serendipitously threw me… into AI – no even able to say by choice. 2024 brought people into my life from speaking events and my podcast, in rapid pinball fashion fashion. and alas, what came from it…? realizing AI – truly – has the potential, to one day rid us of those nonstop comments about missed diagnoses or ‘was never tested until’s.
When appropriate, of course–which AI can finally help us define in and of itself! ‘appropriate’… appropriate based on age and gender.. or, appropriate for you? aside, quicker solutions l. and better treatments against cæncer. It also can, and already is, educate providers and patients alike, in whatever degree of simplicity or complexity… at a massive, immediate scale.
But I digress. the point was, life always provides direction, and this year that direction came through people. almost… with urgency, because every day and year we don’t ‘do better’ – in our understanding of pathogenesis, of the ‘exceptions’… of human fallibility and financial toxicities that could be money better spent… people suffer unnecessarily.
And that doesn’t feel good because people matter. and here are a few of those, that I know every matters to – and now matter to me.”
