Sami (Papacek) Mansfield: What’s the one thing every cancer survivor deserves to know about improving their quality of life?
Sami (Papacek) Mansfield, Founder of Cancer Wellness for Life, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What’s the one thing every cancer survivor deserves to know about improving their quality of life? In the survivorship space, we’re often focused on data—side effects, recurrence rates, lab values. But what about the lived experience? After two decades working alongside oncology clinicians and survivors, I’ve learned that small insights often make the biggest impact.
So I want to ask this community: What’s one thing you wish every cancer survivor knew to improve their quality of life?
Something simple. Evidence-informed. Actionable.
Something you say in clinic—or wish you did.
Something your patients tell you helped most.
Here’s mine:
While side effects like fatigue, weight gain, or chemobrain are common—they shouldn’t have to be. We need to do better at providing survivors with tools that are actionable, accessible, and simple enough to implement in real life. That’s where true change begins.Let’s use our collective experience to help survivors not just live longer—but live better. Drop your thoughts below or message me directly if you’re working on programs in this space.”
